Where has time and my life gone?

Glue Guns & Giggles: My Crafting Comeback Tour Begins!

It happened.
One quiet afternoon, I walked past my craft shelf (okay, avalanche pile), and something magical caught my eye—an unopened pack of glitter glue silently whispering, “You miss us, don’t you?”

Yes. Yes, I do.

Friends, I’m back. And not just casually cutting construction paper like it’s 2002—I’m on a full-blown Crafting Comeback Tour. Bedazzlers beware. Pom-poms, prepare yourselves. I’m coming with hot glue and a vengeance.

Here’s what reignited the sparkle:

1. I found my old crafting scissors. You know the ones with the zigzag blade? Instant serotonin.
2. Pinterest called me “creative” again. I knew it was time.
3. I missed the thrill of yelling “DON’T TOUCH THAT, IT’S STILL DRYING!”

So what’s on the docket for this glorious return to gluey greatness?

- DIY bookmarks that no one asked for (but everyone’s getting).
- Greeting cards with so many layers, they need a zip code.
- A trash-to-treasure mason jar moment because *crafty people don’t throw anything away.*

I’m documenting it all. Wins, flops, accidental finger burns—it’s part of the journey. If you’re a former crafter ready to dip your toe back in the glitter jar, consider this your sign.

Let’s bring the joy (and the glitter) back.

Stay quirky, stay crafty.

Ranting about swaps

Hello everyone, I hope that your new year started off with a big bang.
I want to rant a little about swaps; I joined a swap group for the first time. I had a fabulous time creating my swap items to trade with others through a hostess. I however was very dissappointed when I received my return swap items. I consider myself a creative crafter I spend quality time on what I make and I pour my heart and creatitivy into each item that I create. I turned in what I consider to be very good work where as when I received the items swapped in return I was so disappointed because the work was poor and very low quality. It seemed as if the others just threw glue on a paper and called it craft. I later learned that the hostess placed me with new crafters and I thought that was so wrong because I assure you that my work is very good quality. I have been crafting since I was a 4 year old girl not to reveal my age but I am well into my years now. I have yet to continue with the swap group that I joined because I feel as though I wasted my time and money on materials and I did not receive the same in kind. I also placed extra goodies in with my swap. I am just saying that consideration is warranted when you consider a swap.

Hello Everyone

Hello, I have been absent for some time now. I am in school and I have a very hectic schedule now, and I wanted to stop by to give everyone a hello shout.
I will be completing my education in November and I cannot wait until then to come back to my blog full swing. So until then have a blessed few months.

Hello Thursday

Hello everyone, now that I am getting the hang of posting I am going to try something new. I am going to try to add photo's of my handmade creations. I recently challenged myself to complete a project for myself with the Marion Smith 31 day challenge in January. I did not enter a video of my project on youtube; but I did participate and created a page a day for 31 days. I have yet to add all of my photo's to the journal. I am excited that I accomplished that goal...completing a project for me. I am going to try to have the photo's loaded on myblog by the end of the day EST. Please bear with me because I am still learning how to blog. Have a wonderful Thursday! :-)

I am learning the ropes

Hello to my viewers,
I am finally learning the ropes to blogging, thanks to my 16 year old daughter. Kids are good at the technical things in life; at least when it comes to me. (LOL) I hope to post on a regular basis and keep updated with things that are going on in my realm of crafting.

So far 2012 has been a great year for me, I have gained a few new friends and fellow crafters which is a great thing for me. I am a SAHM which means that I do not get to interact with many adults unless I randomly run into someone at the market. Sad I know but that is my life. Don't get me wrong I love being a SAHM it is harder work than the actual workforce in my opinoin. I retired a few years ago and getting up going to work was much easier than planning a whole day for a family. I found it to be much easier when I had very little time to even think let alone plan something fun or interesting for my family.

Well I just wanted to stop by and say hello and welcome!
